Welcome to Checkr’s Fair Reviewer Certificate course! This course will help you navigate questions like, “how do I complete a fair and compliant review of this candidate’s record for this role?”

This course is a good fit for you if: 

• You review or evaluate candidate or employee background check reports
• You are interested in how to fairly review background check reports

In this 1 hour course, you will learn:

• How to fairly and compliantly review a candidate's background check in compliance with guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
• How to navigate information on background check reports
• Your responsibilities during the adverse action process if you decline to hire, engage, or promote a candidate due to information on a background check
• Considerations for how to implement fair review processes in your organization

Following the course is a 20-question exam. The exam is open-book, and we’ll equip you with the resources you’ll need to successfully pass. Once you’ve passed the exam, you’ll be awarded with a certificate of completion that you can:

• Share on your LinkedIn profile 
• Get two professional development credits with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 

To access your certificate, select your profile image on the top right of the page in Checkr Academy, then select "My Profile". You'll then be able to select "View my certificate" and to post on your LinkedIn profile, "Add to profile"!
